Spinal manipulation is the primary technique used today by chiropractors in treating the underlying conditions that have been determined to be the root cause of a patient’s physical pain. Spinal manipulation, also known as a spinal adjustment, or a chiropractic adjustment, is an attempt to correct the misalignment of the vertebral joints, what is also known as a vertebral subluxation. It is this vertebral subluxation, or vertebral joint misalignment, that serve as the foundation for chiropractic care, and for which spinal manipulation is the primary treatment.
